Botanicals - Pickles
The Pickle ornament had
special meaning to the children of the family. According to legend, the pickle
was supposed to be the last ornament parents hung on the tree - and hidden from
direct view.
Its green color helped to camouflage it within the tree.
The first child to find the pickle on Christmas morning was awarded a special
Christmas gift!

Bright
gold, with many natural details in the mold, this is a very nice
ornament. It has a horizontal interior scratch near the top from the cap
wire, but no cracks.

Unsilvered,
this pale green pickle is very beautiful - looks almost like milk glass.
There are some highlights in the paint coloration. There are a few spots
where the paint has worn away, but appropriate to its age.
